Application Developer - Senior Manager

The Rand Group is experiencing rapid and sustained growth and is currently looking for a Senior Manager for the CRM and Application Development team. This position works directly with the management team to provide development and architect solutions for our clients. We are offering a negotiable relocation package to anyone residing inside the United States.

The Position:

• Participate in solution design, concept visualization and functional and technical requirements definition and documentation
• Responsible for defining and implementing data object model
• Responsible for development of user interface forms and business logic
• Assist with deployment of custom solutions
• Apply programming and development skills to build business applications for mid-market clients
• Design and develop applications using Microsoft .Net architecture
• Actively manage and lead teams and resources assigned to projects
• Participate in pre-sales activities
• Responsible for Project Management
• Includes up to 25% travel, mostly within Texas
• An average work week of 40-50 hours

The Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of C#, Visual Studio, and/or SQL Server 2000/2005
• Strong working knowledge of XML and XSD
• 6+ years developing integrated and/or distributed applications
• 6+ years experience with object oriented design
• 6+ years development and technology deployment experience, preferably in a professional consulting services organization
• Prior experience with Microsoft development tools with emphasis on use of Microsoft .Net technologies
• Desire to learn tool sets for various ERP development environments, such as Dynamics CRM, GP, NAV, AX or Sage ERP X3
• Proficiency with the following technologies: Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services, or other reporting tools
• SQL Server management and administration experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence, Portal Solutions, and Web service Development
• Prefer MCSD certifications and a Bachelor's degree, or experience/progress toward completion of certification/degree requirements
• Must have demonstrated skill in managing multiple task assignments and leading teams through complex implementations
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent business acumen combined with strong business and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• An ability to collaborate in a team environment, while also working independently
