TRG History
The Rand Group (TRG) was formed in 2003 by the acquisition of the technology consulting division of Hein & Associates LLP, a regional accounting firm with offices in Denver, Houston, Dallas and southern California. Prior to the formation of TRG, the same management team provided the service offering at Hein for over seven years.
TRG has experienced exponential growth since 2003 because of their unique mix of in-depth accounting and technology expertise. The firm landed Gold Partner Status from Microsoft in 2005 in part due to the firm’s 97% client retention rates and their ability to exceed customer objectives. Giving TRG the highest level of achievement as a Microsoft Certified Partner is an honor bestowed on less than 4% of Microsoft Partners. Gold Partner Status is determined by a combination of criteria including Microsoft certifications, tested Microsoft-based solutions, “business wins” as measured through customer references, Microsoft competencies and customer satisfaction. The Rand Group received a 100% customer satisfaction rating through client satisfaction surveys, placing them the top 5% of Microsoft solution providers.
In early 2006, the company announced the opening of their first satellite office in Austin, a practice that again expanded in 2007. TRG’s Central Texas presence expanded their capacity to offer professional services and support to clients and prospects in the heart of Austin’s technology corridor and the surrounding area. In July 2009, TRG announced the launch of a Dallas presence, furthur extending its reach in Texas, and expanding its portfolio of business solutions and services with the addition of Sage products for small and mid-size businesses.
Today, The Rand Group continues to serve industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, distribution, construction, property management, technology and non-profit agencies as sectors in their key markets and is recognized as one of the top technology firms in the country, continuing to climb to the top of Accounting Technology magazine’s VAR 100 in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. |
