Houston Based Rand Group Jumps 34 Spots on Revenue-based VAR 100; Expands into Austin Market
 Houston, Texas - Houston based accounting technology firm, The Rand Group (TRG) was recognized as the fastest growing Microsoft Reseller in their category and a top player in the industry according to Accounting Technology Magazine's 2007 VAR 100 list. The Rand Group has experienced a 64% increase in revenue over 2006, moving up the list to number 50 in the nation. The move up to 50th represents a jump of 34 places over the company's 2006 ranking of 84th.
The Value-Added Reseller (VAR) 100 ranks accounting software resellers across the country by revenue. This year marks the third for The Rand Group's inclusion. TRG's latest ranking lists the firm as the third largest Microsoft Dynamics reseller in Texas and the largest Texas-based Navision reseller to make this year's VAR 100.
In the last year, TRG's growth included geographic expansion into Austin by opening an office located at 901 South Mopac Expressway, Barton Oaks Plaza One. The Austin office will also allow TRG to service clients in Austin, San Antonio and Central Texas more efficiently. The company also increased their product and service offerings, adding Dynamics SL (formerly Solomon) to their Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and NAV (Navision) capabilities.
"We experienced great growth in providing services around business intelligence, data warehousing and business process automation using Microsoft tools such as Share Point, BizTalk, SQL Server and InfoPath," says President and CEO Ron Rand.
